12 SECONDS OF DECEMBER 17…TWO BROTHERS INVENTED SUPERMEN !!!

THAT WAS DECEMBER 17….12 seconds changed the world forever. That day, the Wright Brothers took to the sky for 12 seconds…They proved that Men can fly just like Sea Gulls….

SUSAN .. AN INSPIRATION !

Susan, mother of Wright Brothers was shy and inventive, able to make anything  especially custom toys for her children.

Although there would be five children in the family, from the start Wilbur and Orville would share a special, almost symbiotic bond. From an early age, the boys were wrapped in dreams of discovery. Their interest in aviation was sparked early by their father when he brought home a small 50 cent French toy that worked as a rudimentary helicopter.

There was third wright brother too...!!!!!

Katherine was the sister of Orville and Wilbur..people have heard her as the third Wright brother.”

“Learning the secret of flight from a bird was a good deal like learning the secret of magic from a magician,” Orville would later say.

The brothers began writing the Smithsonian Institute and the Weather Bureau for information and advice regarding theories of flight and aeronautics. Around the turn of the century, in the back of their booming bike shop, they began to construct their own glider.

The Wright Brothers in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, 1901

LOOKING SEA GULLS…!!!!

During testing their new machine, they decided to travel to remote Kitty Hawk, a small beach community with large sand dunes on the Banks of North Carolina. They have stand on the beach for hours at a time just looking at the gulls flying, soaring, dipping.”

MAN BECAME SUPER MAN WITH INVENTION OF WRIGHT BROTHERS!

Nobody who has not experienced it for himself can realize it. It is a realization of a dream so many persons have had of floating in the air. More than anything else the sensation is one of perfect peace, mingled with the excitement that strains every nerve to the utmost, if you can conceive of such a combination.”

governments began to acknowledge the Wrights and their flying machine was patented

FIRST FLYING CELEBRITIES

French and British governments began to show interest in purchasing the Wrights’ Flyers, while American bureaucracy showed little interest. The brothers  and their sister Katharine traveled to Europe. They became celebrities and heralded as “American” heroes.

DUAL EQUAL INTELLIGENCE

“Wilbur and Orville were among the blessed few who combined mechanical ability with intelligence in about equal amounts,” Wright BrothersOne man with this dual gift is exceptional. Two such men whose lives and fortunes are closely linked can raise this combination of qualities to a point where their combined talents are akin to genius.”

coin toss MADE Orville TO BECOME the first brother airborne

The brothers tossed a coin to see who would first test the Wright Flyer on the sands of Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina. Older brother Wilbur won the toss, but his first attempt on December 14, 1903, was unsuccessful and caused minor damage to the aircraft. Three days later, Orville, in coat and tie, lay flat on his stomach on the plane’s lower wing and took the controls. At 10:35 a.m., the Wright Flyer moved down the guiding rail with Wilbur running alongside to balance the delicate machine. For 12 seconds, the aircraft left the ground before touching down 120 feet away in the soft sands. The brothers exchanged turns at the controls three more times that day, and each flight covered an increasing distance with Wilbur’s final flight lasting nearly a minute and covering a distance of 852 feet.

A FLYING TOY IS THE INSPIRATION

When the brothers were youngsters in 1878, their father returned home one evening with a gift that he tossed into the air. “Instead of falling to the floor, as we expected,” the brothers recalled in a 1908 magazine article, “it flew across the room till it struck the ceiling, where it fluttered awhile, and finally sank to the floor.” The model helicopter made of cork, bamboo and paper and powered by a rubber band mesmerized the boys and sparked their passion for aviation.

NO DIPLOMO HOLDERS

Wilbur finished four years of high school, but the family moved from Richmond, Indiana, to Dayton, Ohio, before he could receive his diploma. Orville, although intellectually curious, dropped out of high school before his senior year to launch a printing business.

CYCLE COMPANY AND NEWS PAPER

Wilbur eventually joined Orville’s printing business, and in 1889 the brothers began to publish a weekly newspaper, the West Side News. The following year, they published a short-lived daily newspaper, The Evening Item. In 1892 they switched gears and opened the Wright Cycle Company, a successful bicycle repair and sales shop that financed their flying experiments.

NO TIME FOR MARRIAGE…THEY MARRIED PLANES 🙂

The tight-knit brothers, born four years apart, were wedded to their work; Wilbur told reporters that he didn’t have time for both a wife and an airplane.

WRIGHT BROTHERS FLEW TOGETHER ONCE!!

Orville and Wilbur had promised their father, who feared losing both sons in an airplane accident, they would never fly together. The father made a single exception, however, on May 25, 1910, and allowed the brothers to share a six-minute flight near Dayton with Orville piloting and Wilbur the passenger. After landing, Orville took his 82-year-old father on his first and only flight. As Orville gained elevation, his excited father cried out, “Higher, Orville, higher!”

After the first day airborne, the 1903 Wright Flyer never flew again !!!

The brothers made four flights in the Wright Flyer on December 17, 1903, and as Orville and Wilbur stood discussing the final flight, a sudden strong gust of wind caught hold of the aircraft and flipped it several times. The aircraft sustained such heavy damage to its ribs, motor and chain guides that it was beyond repair. The Wright Flyer was crated back to Dayton and never flew again.

Orville was involved in the first fatal aviation accident

After their success in 1903, the Wright brothers continued their aircraft development. They marketed their two-passenger Wright Military Flyer to the U.S. Army, which required a demonstration. On September 17, 1908, Orville took to the air for a demonstration flight at Fort Myer, Virginia, with Army Signal Corps Lieutenant Thomas Selfridge as a passenger. Just a few minutes into the flight, the propeller suddenly disintegrated, the aircraft spiraled out of control and it smashed into the ground at full speed. Rescuers pulled an unconscious Selfridge from the wreckage, and the lieutenant died hours later. Orville was hospitalized for six weeks after suffering a broken leg, four broken ribs and a back injury that impaired him for the rest of his life.

Neil Armstrong carried a piece of the Wright Flyer with him to the moon

When another aeronautical pioneer from Ohio, Neil Armstrong, became the first man to step foot on the moon in 1969, inside his spacesuit pocket was a piece of muslin fabric from the left wing of the original 1903 Wright Flyer along with a piece of wood from the airplane’s left propeller.

SOME AMAZING FACTS

1. The Wright Brothers didn’t have an advanced way to turn right or left.

2. The Wright brothers first airplane was actually a glider.

3. Their first flight using an engine was on a Thursday at 10:35 on 17 December, 1903 at Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina.

4. Orville piloted the first successful flightp; the next flight was flown by Wilbur and it ended up being unsuccessful and it even slightly damaged the plane.

5. The plane had a wingspan of 40.3 feet.

6. The engine of the plane weighed 180 lb (82 kg) which made the plane weigh a total of 605 lb (274 kg).

7. Their engine was called a piston engine; this had a total of twelve horsepower.

8. The Wright brotthers improvised when it came to making the wind tunnels to test the wings and propeller.

9. Their father partly disagreed with the brothers, he once said this, “It is impossible for men in the future to fly like birds. Flying is reserved for the angels. Do not mention that again lest you be guilty of blasphemy.”

10. Wilbur was thirty six years old and Orville was only thirty two years old they flew their first successful flight.

Before they built the world’s first powered, heavier-than-air, and controllable aircraft, Wilbur and Orville Wright were two ordinary brothers from the Midwest who possessed nothing more than natural talent, ambition, and imagination. In honor of Wright Brothers Day, here are 15 uplifting facts about the siblings who made human flight possible.

THEIR GENIUS WAS GENETIC

While they were inspired by their father’s toy, the Wright brothers inherited their mechanical savvy from their mother, Susan Koerner Wright. She could reportedly make anything, be it a sled or another toy, by hand.

THEY WERE AUTODIDACTS

The Wright brothers’ lifelong interest in flight peaked after they witnessed a successive series of aeronautical milestones: the gliding flights of German aviator Otto Lilienthal, the flying of an unmanned steam-powered fixed-wing model aircraft by Smithsonian Institution Secretary Samuel Langley, and the glider test flights of Chicago engineer Octave Chanute. By 1899, Wilbur sat down and wrote to the Smithsonian, asking them to send him literature on aeronatics. He was convinced, he wrote, “that human flight is possible and practical.” Once he received the books, he and Orville began studying the science of flight.

THEY ACHIEVED FOUR SUCCESSFUL FLIGHTS WITH THEIR FIRST AIRPLANE DESIGN

The Wright brothers started testing various wing designs and spent the next few years perfecting their evolving vision for a heavier-than-air flying machine. In the winter of 1903, they returned to Kitty Hawk with their final model, the 1903 Wright Flyer. On December 17, they finally achieved a milestone: four brief flights, one of which lasted for 59 seconds and reached 852 feet.

KITTY HAWK FLIGHTS

Despite their monumental achievement, the Dayton Journal didn’t think the Wright brothers’ short flights were important enough to cover. The Virginia Pilot ended up catching wind of the story, however, and they printed an error-ridden account that was picked up by several other papers. Eventually, the Dayton Journal wrote up an official—and accurate—story.

THE BROTHERS SHARED A CLOSE BOND…

Although the Wright brothers weren’t twins, they certainly lived like they were. They worked side by side six days a week, and shared the same residence, meals, and bank account. They also enjoyed mutual interests, like music and cooking. Neither brother ever married, either. Orville said it was Wilbur’s job, as the older sibling, to get hitched first. Meanwhile, Wilbur said he “had no time for a wife.” In any case, the two became successful businessmen, scoring aviation contracts both domestically and abroad.

BUT WERE OPPOSITES IN MANY WAYS

Although they were much alike, each Wright brother was his own person. As the older brother, Wilbur was more serious and taciturn. He possessed a phenomenal memory, and was generally consumed by his thoughts. Meanwhile, Orville was positive, upbeat, and talkative, although very bashful in public. While Wilbur spearheaded the brothers’ business endeavors, they wouldn’t have been possible without Orville’s mechanical—and entrepreneurial—savvy.

PROUD OF TWO STATES

Since the Wright brothers split their experiments between Ohio and North Carolina, both states claim their accomplishments as their own. Ohio calls itself the “Birthplace of Aviation,” although the nickname also stems from the fact that two famed astronauts hail from there as well. Meanwhile, North Carolina’s license plates are emblazoned with the words “First In Flight.”

See any Multiplex/ Airport/ Railway station or any commercial place…..KFC RESTAURANT with the Brand Logo of OLD MAN WITH GLASSES APPEARS INVITING HUGE CHICKEN LOVERS ACROSS THE WORLD…….

Yes! That old man with glasses is Colonel Harland Sanders. He could easily be identified by his clean, crisp white suite, black string tie, and walking cane.

KFC Sanders a COMMON MAN TURNED LEGEND

Colonel Harland Sanders !!!! He is the great example of motivation. If you’re overwhelmed by rejection or discouraged by setbacks, remember the story of Colonel Harland Sanders. Fired from multiple jobs, ruined his legal career, was set back by the Great Depression, fires and World War II, yet still created one of the largest fast food chains in the world. Sanders wouldn’t let anything or anyone defeat him. We should all be more like Colonel Sanders.

KFC was founded by Colonel Harland Sanders, an entrepreneur who began selling fried chicken from his roadside restaurant in Corbin, Kentucky, during the Great Depression. Sanders identified the potential of the restaurant franchising concept, and the first “Kentucky Fried Chicken” franchise opened in Utah in 1952.

Colonel Harland Sanders has become a world-known figure by marketing his Kentucky Fried Chicken. The story of Colonel Harland Sanders is an example of how perseverance, dedication, and ambition along with hard work can create success regardless of your age.

CHIcKEN LOVERS MADE SANDERS A BILLIONAIRE

It’s amazing how the man started at the age of 65, when most retire, and built a global empire out of fried chicken. It’s never too late to build your dream.

SANDERS BRAND AMBASSADOR OF FAILURES AT FIRST

* At age 5 Sanders father died…. At age 16 he quit school….. At age 17 he had already lost four jobs……. At age 18 he got married and joined the army and washed out there. Sanders was born in 1890 in Henryville, IN. When he was six years old, his father passed away leaving Sanders to cook and care for his siblings. In seventh grade, he dropped out of school and left home to go work as a farmhand. Already turning into a tough cookie.

* At age 65 he retired. He felt like a failure and decided to commit suicide. He sat writing his will, but instead, he wrote what he would have accomplished with his life and thought about how good of a cook he was.

*One of the most amazing aspects of his life is the fact that when he reached the age of sixty-five, after running a restaurant for several years, Harland Sanders found himself penniless.

KFC SANDERS 1009 TIMES REJECTED …

  • Sanders tried to franchise his restaurant. but his recipe was rejected 1,009 times before anyone accepted it. Sander’s “secret recipe” was coined “Kentucky Fried Chicken”, and quickly became a hit. However, the booming restaurant was crippled when an interstate opened nearby so Sanders sold it and pursued his dream of spreading KFC franchises & hiring KFC WORKERS all across the country.

KFC SANDERS LATER TURNED AS BILLIONAIRE AND BRAND AMBASSADOR OF GRAND SUCCESS AT THE AGE OF 65 !!!!!!

After years of failures and misfortunes, Sanders finally hit it big. KFC expanded internationally and he sold the company for two million dollars ($15.3 million today).

SANDERS PICTURE INVITES ALL CHICKEN FAVOURITES IN HIS KFC RESTAURANTS

There were around 6,000 KFC locations in 48 countries. By 2013, there were an estimated 18,000 KFC locations in 118 countries.

KFC HARLAND SANDERS……HE DEFEATED AGE. HE DEFEATED FAILURES… HE DEFEATED DEPRESSION …

Tom Bilyeu is currently best known for his show ‘Impact Theory’ born to inspire entrepreneurs and creators to make an impact, and his turned massive social media following.

The very first job Tom had in his life was selling insurance door-to-door in his neighbor. After graduating from the University of Southern California, majoring in film, he started working at Awareness Tech, a data loss company, in their marketing department. He served as Chief Marketing Officer and other roles at Awareness Tech for eight years. When the company sold in 2010, Tom pondered what to do next.

After losing 60 pounds, Tom wanted to inspire his family members to do the same and eat healthier and with more awareness. Unexpectedly the founders of his past company shared a similar vision and passion, and besides not having any industry-related knowledge, they started Quest Nutrition.

Not having any background about how does it work for a food company, Tom and his team started making protein bars out of their kitchen. After having worked hard for months to find out a repeatable recipe to make tasty protein bars with low-carbs and no added, they finally decided that the time was ready to find a manufacturer.

TOM’S INFLUENTIAL MARKETING STRATEGY

The strategy that Tom was leading focused initially on influencer marketing. Quest sent thousands of hand-written letters with bars included to influencers in the fitness niche. This effort was rewarded with a $ 10 million in e-commerce revenue by year two, estimated by Tom Bilyeu, before ever moving into retail.

EARLY LIFE

FROM LAZY TO …

Bilyeu was born on March 30, 1976 in Tacoma, Washington. In his own words Tom Bilyeu describes himself as a lazy, chubby child. Tom states that even his own mother assumed he wouldn’t go far in life. He wasn’t born an entrepreneur and showed no early signs of success.

At his first job delivering newspapers, he was too scared to knock at their doors to collect his own paycheck. He cheated his way through school, and his mom pushed him off to college.

Who knew he’d become the hard-working multimillionaire he is today? Tom’s story challenges the belief that you need to be naturally born an entrepreneur to be successful. Bilyeu grew up in an obese family, which was a large source of inspiration for his healthy snack company that skyrocketed Tom Bilyeu’s net worth.

BECOMING A MULTI-MILLIONAIRE

For Tom Bilyeu, Quest Nutrition was based on passion. He stopped asking himself how he could get rich and instead asked what he could do everyday that would make him happy, even if he were failing. He wanted to build a company based on value.

After growing up in an obese family and watching family members eat themselves to death, he grew a passion for health. He wanted to help solve this problem. This inspired his first company! Tom founded Quest Nutrition in 2010 alongside Lisa Bilyeu, Ron Penna, Shannan Pena, and Mike Osborne.

The company is well known for their protein bars, but they make other healthy food and snacks too. Tom Bilyeu’s diet to lose 60 pounds and his family history sparked a passion for health and fitness, which he transformed into a company.

Quest grew by an incredible 57,000% in the first 3 years. It was ranked No.2 on the Inc. 500 fastest-growing companies in the United States in 2014. It’s now worth over $1 billion!

Tom and his team put in a lot of hard work to get to where they are now. They started making healthy nutrition bars out of their kitchen before they had even sold Awareness Tech. After a few months, they perfected the recipe with no added sugar and great taste. Unfortunately, they were turned down by every manufacturer they reached out to. That didn’t stop Tom and his team though – they simply built the equipment on their own.

1000 HAND WRITTEN LETTERS !

Once their product was launched, Tom sent a thousand hand-written letters (including Quest bars) to fitness influencers. By year two, Tom estimates they had close to $10 million in e-commerce revenue. They hadn’t even moved into retail stores yet! GNC and Vitamin Shop were the first retailers to sell Quest. Brand ambassadors were Quest’s most effective promoter, and they tried to get in front of as many community-minded people as possible.

SUCCESS MIND SET

Tom Bilyeu’s net worth was grown from hard work and successful strategies. He gives all the credit of his success to his mindset. He grew up as a lazy child, but he dedicated himself to changing his habits and nurture a growth mindset.

Completely paralyzed with his legs, arms and voice, Hawking’s wheelchair is attached with a computer system which is operated by an infrared ‘blink switch.’ This renowned cosmologist and Honorary Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts is admired among tech pundits for his works on gravitational singularities, black holes along with his best seller A Brief History of Time.

PETER DIAMANDIS

Engineer, physician, best selling author, and brilliant entrepreneur. He’s best known for founding the XPRIZE Foundation (which has given millions of dollars to improve the health of our oceans) and Singular University (whose mission is to educate leaders to apply exponential technologies to address the biggest challenges we face today). Aside from his many groundbreaking achievements, there’s one thing that Peter Diamandis does that inspires me the most: his “Case for Optimism” that we’re living in the best time in human history – and it’s only getting better.

Look his uber-inspiring talk, viewed over 1M times on TED’s website how “Abundance is our future”:

NICK VUJICIC

Nick Vujicic was born with tetra-Amelia syndrome, a rare disorder characterized by the absence of all four limbs. His videos on YouTube have inspired millions and millions of people with his message to love life and live without limits. After years of feeling alone and worthless, he had an epiphany one day while reading an article.

He read about a disabled man who refused to let physical limitations dictate his life. At that moment, Nick says, he realized he had the ability to take control of his life. Instead of looking at everything he lacked, he decided to look at everything he could have. Now a famous author and international speaker, Nick inspires the world everyday to live a life without limits. His message is brilliantly sobering and electric.

 Jessica Cox

Born without arms, she used her legs and her unbelievable spirit of awesomeness to become the first licensed armless pilot. She’s also the first armless black belt in the American Taekwondo Association. Refusing to use prosthetic arms Jessica: drives a car, types on a keyboard, pumps her own gas and puts on contact lenses. She also Scuba dives and has a Psychology degree from the University of Arizona. She inspires people across 20 countries by sharing her message of inspiration on stages. J

John Lasseter

He pioneered full length computer-animated films, is a multiple academy award-winner and has so much fun running the multi-billion dollar empire Pixar that he doesn’t feel like he works at all. He has 1,000+ Hawaiian shirts that he wears to work everyday, in his office filled with thousands of toys. Steve Jobs called him the “heart and soul” of Pixar.

John is uber-inspiring for being so successful at doing something he loves so much. He’s so inspiring for describing his life’s work withthese words “We make the kind of movies we like to watch. I love to laugh. I love to be amazed by how beautiful it is. But I also love to be moved to tears. There’s lots of heart in our films.”

Ray Kurzweil

Forbes crowned him the “Ultimate thinking machine”. Ray Kurzweil is an inventor, futurist, computer scientist, founder of Singularity University, author, and director of engineering at Google. The reason Ray inspires me is because of the following story. A few years ago I was speaking at an event on the topic of personal growth.

Someone came up to me afterwards and started explaining how bad the economy is and how “things are only getting worse“. I asked if he studied any futurists (by the way, that’s a great question to ask to get someone’s attention)? He took a moment and didn’t know how to respond. I suggested that instead of looking at the economy as it is, look at where it’s headed. And to study Ray Kurzweil (as well as a few others mentioned on this list). It’s inspiring to meet someone who studies the future and to predict where it’s going. Not necessarily to know what will happen, but rather to open your mind to exciting new possibilities.

Dr. Dan Siegel

Dr. Dan Siegel received his degree in medicine from Harvard, is a clinical professor of psychiatry at the UCLA School of Medicine, is a New York Times best-selling author of 13 books and has helped millions of people understand how to use our brains to live more meaningful, healthier, and more enjoyable lives.

He’s innovated the field of “Interpersonal Neurobiology” which helps us interact with one another with more consciousness and compassion, by having a clearer picture of how our own brains operate in relationships. His work is brilliant, accessible, empowering, and absolutely inspiring. Learn more here: https://www.mindsightinstitute.com.

Sergei Brin

Aside from creating one of the most revolutionary companies in human history with Larry Page…hmm. a lot of Powtoon was inspired by Google. We have (a lot of) fun at work. We have tons of food in the cupboards (we haven’t yet hired a full-time chef!). Yes, we have the genius Google Docs, Gmail, Google Search and a TON of amazing innovations that affect our work and life everyday thanks to Sergei and Larry.

What inspires US IS the most is the CHARACTER they infused into Google and the rest of modern corporate culture. Google put slides, nap pods, solar powered frisbee parks, massage rooms, unlimited free food and happiness into the modern workplace. Thanks for being so awesome.

Richard Branson

Not sure how someone runs 400+ companies. Even more perplexing is how Richard Branson seems to be having the time of his life running them. If you follow interviews, he’s been like that from Day 1 when he started Virgin from scratch back in the early 70’s. He’s been called the definition of success. It’s not because of his net worth, but because of his happy as a kid attitude. I’m not inspired by Richard Branson’s billions – Branson launching personal space travel.

Brendon Burchard

If you’re not following Brendon you’re missing out. Just watching him will give you new doses of energy. In the past 2 years, he turned his 10K Facebook group into 5M+ members. He’s written 3 New York Times best selling books and Larry King calls him one of the worlds’ top trainers. He started from scratch after surviving a horrible car crash. As he saw the end near, he realized we’d all be asked 3 questions at the end of our lives. Did we live? Did we love fully? And did we make a difference, did we matter?

With those 3 questions he left his corporate job and claimed a path to become a speaker, author, coach, and trainer to inspire others with his message to live, love and matter. Brendon deeply struggled when he first started out. In his words, “When I first started out, I did what most authors did – I went broke.” But his mission to inspire drove him to become the legend that he is. He now runs a multiple 8 figure business that inspires tens of millions of people on a weekly basis. Here’s a quote he recently put on his Facebook page: “Curiosity is the filament for a life burning with vibrancy and joy“. Check out his new book, The Motivation Manifesto.

Elon Musk

Elon Musk founded SpaceX, co-founded PayPal and Tesla, and is the chairman of SolarCity. He’s revolutionizing space travel, automobiles, and how we consume energy (including his Tesla battery line). Elon Musk is showing the world how entrepreneurs are the ones who lead real change in the world. I’m inspired by Elon’s thrilling leadership in a wild range of companies. Space, solar energy, automobiles and online payments? Is it really possible to effect positive change in such a diverse range of causes? Thanks to Elon it’s an obvious yes.

So let him inspire YOU to say YES to all your dreams. After studying these brilliantly inspiring people, they all have ONE thing in common. They each harnessed their innate power of FOCUS by having inspiring goals. And it makes total sense. That to achieve your goals, you need to know what they are.

BILL GATES

“Success is a lousy teacher. It seduces smart people into thinking they can’t lose” – Bill Gates

motivational persons

Bill Gates!! A name which needs no introduction I guess  Bill Gates is the richest person in the World and I myself follow and have read a lot about him. Bill Gates was born on October 28, 1955, in  Seattle. His family had a rich business background but Bill was very hardworking and intelligent from his childhood. Bill believed in achieving his goals by hard work and the correct use of intelligence. He was very good at academics.

Bill had a separate place for computers in his heart. He was very happy when he was first introduced to computers in a private school, which was known for its academic environment. He was excellent in programming and created a programming group with his friends in 1968. Their Programming group was recognized and they got the 1st opportunity in the Information Sciences Inc. Bill and his friend Allen set up a new company Traf-O-Data of their own to track traffic flow and earned $20,000 at a very young age. Bill and Allen worked together and Allen insisted him to open a software company.

Bill formed Microsoft within a year of dropping out from Harvard. This was a great turn of his life  He is self-confident and believes in hard work and correct usage of intelligence more than blindly depending on Luck or God’s Grace. I love to read a lot about him because he is quite a giving person and believes in charity and donation. Bill donated  38 million at the Stanford University for the development of a computer building. So, if you need a motivational dose then you should read more about Bill Gates and his life.

They have apps like ‘omharmonics‘, a mastermind called “Evercoach” and an award-winning office with statues of superwoman, colorful bean bags, pool tables and a life-size honeycomb with the quote, “Life isn’t about finding yourself, it’s about creating yourself”. Vishen even created, ight be the coolest name of anything on earth – Awesomeness Fest.

Amy Schumer

Nothing gains attention like genius humor. So why not use your humor to fight a crucial cause? Amy uses her humor to fight rape culture in America. As she points out, the statistics of girls being raped in college is atrocious. Amy made a hilarious parody of “Friday Night Lights” that mocks the vacuous male culture in America. She’s been featured in Time, Salon, Variety & won Glamour’s “Trailblazer of the Year” award. Forget speeches, protests and rallies to support your cause , use humor.

James Franco

James is a published poet, has a PhD from Yale, teaches film at NYU and USC, debuted in Broadway and is an Academy Award nominee. James Franco inspires because he doesn’t stop and isn’t afraid to go into new territory. He’s not expecting his poetry to be a best seller – but he published it. And just because he’s an actor doesn’t mean he can’t pursue a PhD and teach. So don’t limit your ability to be an artist – the world is your canvas.

Oprah

Despite how most people view Oprah, she has not led an easy life. She was born into poverty in rural Mississippi to a teenage single mother. She was raped at the age of 9, because pregnant 14 and lost her son while still in infancy. But Oprah would make history in her heroic transformation to eventually become one of the most powerful women on earth.

She is a multi-billionaire and is regarded as the “Queen of Media“. Oprah has done so much in her career it’s dizzying. But the most inspiring thing she’s done is showing you that your circumstances don’t dictate your life, only your desire does.

Tony Robbins

Tony Robbins is profound. . Jim was a multi-millionaire investor who had lost everything in a short time span in 2002, including the entire investment of one of his closest friends. Jim’s last minute hope was attending a Tony Robbins event. Watch this video for yourself and see how Tony used a brilliant process to save Jim’s life.

What’s profound is how Tony has helped – in person – millions of people over his 30+ year career. Maybe you’ve seen him on TV or heard that he’s advised Green Day, Leonardo DiCaprio, Melissa Etheridge, Paul Tudor Jones, 3 US Presidents, owns an island on Fiji and runs 12+ companies. For me, what inspires me most about Tony Robbins is his deep mastery of the human spirit. And in the words of award-winning psychotherapist Cloe Madanes, Tony’s “unswerving faith in the goodness of people”.

Vince Gilligan

M

What I love most about Breaking Bad – created by Vince Gillian – is how it talks about the least talked about of topics: a modern man’s struggle to find himself. Vince created the fascinating anti-hero Walter White, who in the course of the show transformed from “Mr. Chips” into Scar face. Upon being diagnosed with Cancer, Walter ‘breaks bad‘ to both pay for his own cancer treatment and provide for his family in the event of his death. What inspires me about Vince is how deep of a character’s journey he created. Breaking Bad entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the highest rated show of all time.

J.K Rowling

J.K Rowling conceived the idea of Harry Potter during a train ride in 1990. By the time she finished writing it seven years later, her mother died, she divorced and lived in near poverty. And her book was rejected by 12 publishers. What is so remarkably inspiring about Rowlings’ story is that despite living in near poverty and despite being rejected 12 times – she persisted with her dream to tell the world a story about the magical life of Harry Potter.

She is now a billionaire, the first author to become one. Her fantastically original story is now a household name with blockbuster movies, theme parks, and even a wildly popular fan-based podcast called MuggleCast. In her most painful moments living just above poverty, Rowling might not have been able to see the empire she’d soon create. But she did see her story and it moved her. Despite the many difficult circumstances she faced at the time . she channeled her pain to create an even better story.

Tony Horton

You’ve seen him on TV and you’ve most likely heard of his creation, P90X. What you haven’t heard is how Tony Horton got started – and it’s very cool and super inspiring. Tony moved to California to become an actor. And like most actors – he was struggling. Barely able to pay for rent or food, he always made sure to go to the gym and started to learn about health and fitness. Eventually he got a job as a runner at 20th Century Fox to pay the bills.

Tony kept on working out, and his boss Harlan Goodman noticed. Harlan said how good he looked and asked if Tony would train him personally to be more fit. People in the studio went up to Tony and said how Harlan is looking better – can you train me as well? Eventually, Tony became the personal trainer for many Hollywood Celebrities, later meeting the CEO of BeachBody Carl Daikeler, where they came up with the idea of a fitness training program. Tony is hilarious, a genius and kept pursuing his dream when it didn’t look like he’d ever achieve it.

Sheryl Sandberg

Time Magazine ran a cover article on Facebook’s inspiring COO whose title read, “Don’t hate her because she’s successful. Facebook’s Sheryl Sandberg and her mission to reboot feminism”. From running the operations for one of earth’s most impactful companies to authoring her own best-selling book to traveling around the world spreading her message Time said, “It’s probably not an overstatement to say Sandberg is embarking on the most ambitious mission to reboot feminism and reframe discussions of gender since the launch of Ms. magazine in 1971.”

Sandberg’s mission and message alone is exciting and empowering. But what inspires me most about Sheryl is how intimately she shared with the world her mourning of the death of her beloved husband, Dave Goldberg. With her millions of Facebook followers, she shared her heart and soul on the beautiful relationship she cherished and now mourns. It’s one thing to spread a message of global connectivity and it’s another to live it and breathe it. T

Malcolm Gladwell

Malcolm Gladwell inspired many to fall in love with English all over again. His storytelling is brilliantly insightful, gripping, poignant, and pure fun. At any given week, most of his books are all on the list of the New York Times bestseller list – and of course they should be. From showing us how small but specific tipping points can cause global epidemics to formulating how success is determined by your miraculous surroundings and specific number of hours of dedication (10,000).

Gladwell made us rethink how influential our .02 second thoughts are as we blink them. He retold the epic tale of David and Goliath to reveal hidden, subtle and wondrously relevant meaning. His written word is enlightening, entertaining and empowering. I’ve read some of his books multiple times…for the sheer enjoyment of it. He told the story of Ketchup vs. Mustard. He revealed the theory of plane crashes and how to cure graffiti. Like all geniuses, you can agree or disagree with his theories, but by now, you simply can’t ignore him. And for me, why on earth would you want to? We will Thank Malcolm for showing us the magic of language, learning and the beautiful power of telling stories.

Dan Ariely

Dan Ariely has done live tests (with real humans) to see if high priced fake medicine out-performs low priced fake medicine. And why things that are FREE can make us less selfish. And hundreds of insanely creative tests in what he’s coined, “Behavioral Economics”. If you haven’t read Dan’s books, go wild and you’ll soon be one of the smartest people in any given room. Dan Ariely has turned economics into one big psychological experiment that’s super fun to learn about.

The New York Times called his work “revolutionary“. Nobel Laureates in Economics said his book is “wildly original” and “ingenious“. Dan Ariely is a professor at Duke, co-founder of BEworks, is a multiple New York Times best-selling author and his TED talks have been seen over 10 million times. Humorous geniuses are the best kind
